The Pressed Flowers Patterns consist of mosaic knitting with a flower motif on various kinds of garments.
Choose your Pressed Flowers Adventure!
There are 9 patterns available for you to choose from.
Choose your pattern, choose your yarn and let's work on our Pressed Flowers projects together!
Our instructor, Lexi, will be available to help with your project at all stages. WIP’s are welcome!
We will be having a separate class on Sunday, May 25th from 9:30-11:30am on the Pressed Flowers Kerchief that you can join to learn or practice mosaic knitting and get a feel for reading the chart before this workshop begins.
Prerequisites:
Must know how to knit and purl.
Although these patterns are mostly made up of basic stitches, we would recommend this class to those who are at least an Advanced Beginner, as you do need to be able to read charts and change colors, as well as do increases and decreases.
Materials:
Yarn:
These patterns call for different quantities and different weights of yarn, so please follow the pattern requirements for your project.
All the patterns need at least two different colors of the same weight. We recommend a solid yarn with a color changing, self striping, variegated, or heavily speckled yarn for a finished product with extra interest.
Needles and Notions:
Needles:
Please choose a needle size in accordance with the gauge on your pattern.
Notions:

Scissors
Darning needle

Patterns are available on Ravelry (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/search#designer=Amy%20Christoffers&query=pressed%20flowers&sort=best&view=captioned_thumbs) for various prices
Gauge:
Please see the gauge section for your pattern
OPTIONAL Homework:
Purchase and review the pattern in its entirety. Knit, block, dry and measure your gauge swatch. Please be sure to continue swatching until you meet gauge with the yarn(s) you will be using to complete this project. Choose the size you’ll be making and highlight appropriate repeats and stitch counts on the pattern based on your size. Bring the pre blocked and post blocked gauge numbers of your final swatch with the correct needle size(s).
