Knitters Choice: Cardi or Pullover
Garti Cardi or Garden Party Pullover by Ann Daku, taught by Lisa Martin
Ever wanted to explore "painting with yarn"? In this class you will have the opportunity to mix and mingle your yarn together in a creative way. Holding 2 strands of fingering weight yarn together thoughout this project, you will be able to let your color creativity free. Both patterns whether the cadigan or pullover not only allows color exploration, but also design creativity. Your sweater will be truly unique to you. Want to make this monochromatic, go for it, like too many colors to count, use them all. This class will help you learn how to mix colors into a pleasing combination.
Prerequisites:
Basic knitting knowledge such as: casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, basic increases, and binding off.
Materials:
Approximately 655-1410 grams of fingering weight yarn, 33-71 mini skeins of fingering weight yarn, or 5-15 full skeins of fingering weight yarn or any combination thereof.
We recommend grabbing a few of those precious, favorite, i'm not sure what to do with, impulse buy fingering skeins, and in the 1st class we will help pair those with the perfect mix of additional yarns to complete your project.
Notions:
US size 4 and 6, 40" circular needles or size needed for guage

Gauge:
20 sts by 33 rows in garter stitch equals 4" for Garti Cardi with larger needle.
20 sts by 27 rows in stockinette stitch equals 4" for Garden Party Pullover with larger needle.

Wednesday July 17th and 24th, August 14th and 21st, and September 11th and 18th from 5-7 pm
1st class will be working on color theory, how to place colors together, and swatching.
