Doodle Stocking Knit-along

Improve your Fair Isle skills and end up with a fun and festive stocking! We will get together once per month for three months to work on our stockings together and get some help along the way.

This pattern uses mix-and-match micro charts to allow the knitter to design their own holiday stocking. Modular instructions include flexible options for the upper ribbing, length, and width of the finished stocking.

Inspired by the festive motifs in holiday sweaters, Christmas wrapping, and Starbucks cups, all of the charts are designed to work together to create something completely unique, within an easy-to-follow structure. Use these charts alone, or add in any other charts from the expanded Doodle Series! We have lots of Doodle decks to choose from in the shop. How cute would an ocean themed stocking be!?

How It’s Worked: This pattern is worked in the round, from the top down. It begins with a ribbed cuff, then a section of “doodle” colorwork, then a mock short row heel, before finishing with similar colorwork along the foot, and a traditional sock toe, closed with a Kitchener stitch graft.

The Holiday Doodle includes 34 charts.
