Tunisian Crochet Sampler Blanket Crochet-along

Improve your Tunisian Crochet skills and end up with a stunning blanket! We will get together once per month for six months to work on our blanket together and get some help along the way. This sampler blanket includes six different Tunisian Crochet stitches and color changes that create a beautiful effect, especially with color changing yarn.

Prerequisites

Some knowledge of Tunisian Crochet and standard crochet is required. If you’re newer to Tunisian crochet, we recommend watching some tutorials:

Materials

Yarn:

This pattern calls for approx. 1,530 yards of a solid worsted weight yarn and approx. 1,720 yards of a self-striping/coloring changing worsted weight yarn. We recommend Cascade 220 Superwash Merino (approx. 7 balls) for the solid and, for the self-striping, either:

Urth Yarns Spiral Grain Worsted (approx. 13 50g skeins) or

Tulla Tweed (approx. 6 100g skeins)

Kits will be available at the shop. Feel free to mix up colorways of the self-striping yarns for different effects.

Needles and Notions:

7mm (Size K) Tunisian crochet hook with at least a 32” chord. We recommend the Ginger Tunisian interchangeable hooks from Knit Pro.

6mm (Size J) standard crochet hook for the border.

Yarn needle and stitch marker.

Pattern:
Pattern is available for free with ads here,
or for $5 ad-free on Ravelry.

Gauge

None due to nature of the pattern. We recommend doing a small swatch in Tunisian Simple Stitch to see if you’ll like the fabric, drape, etc. to determine hook size.

Homework:

Review Tunisian crochet how to videos, if desired.

Class dates and time:

Sundays, June 30, July 28, August 25, September 29, October 27, November 24, from 2pm-4pm.
